Riba dan Nilai Waktu Uang Dalam Perspektif Syariah: Review Konsep

The aims of the study was to provided a clear description of the differences in conventional concepts in time value of money with two approaches, namely; present value and future value with the Islamic concept, namely; economic value of time. The principle difference between the concept of time value of money and the economic value of time lies in the perspective of money and interest. In the concept of time value of money, the present value approach is equivalent to the flow of concept as suggested in Islamic law, that is, money must revolve in the productive or consumptive sector, while the future value approach to money debts and goods whose returns are not comparable is usury.
